Nayan is built for the phones people actually carry in Bangladesh and India. The download is under 50 MB, all recognition runs on the device, and the only permission the app asks for up front is the camera. Photos you import come through the system picker, so Nayan never needs access to your whole gallery.
Bengali and Arabic recognition needs a language model that is too large to bundle for everyone. The app asks before downloading it, shows the size, and keeps it on the device afterwards.
